Where CaloDine's data comes from

CaloDine's meal recommendations are built from a curated database of popular restaurant menu items. Every meal shows a source badge so you know how much to trust the numbers:

Verified Estimate

Cross-checked against publicly available nutrition information published by the restaurant.

Public Nutrition Estimate

Based on publicly available nutrition data that may not reflect recent menu changes.

AI-Assisted Estimate

Estimated with the help of AI models from typical ingredients and portion sizes.

Example Estimate

An illustrative example for a common menu item.

All values are estimates. Restaurant menus, recipes, ingredients, portion sizes, and preparation methods change frequently and vary by location. CaloDine is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any restaurant. Brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify menu items.

How AI is used

The Ask tab answers questions using CaloDine's on-device recommendation engine and seeded database. If an optional AI backend is configured, questions are routed through CaloDine's own server (never directly to a third-party AI provider from your device), and answers are always labeled as estimates. AI suggestions are informational only.
